What do I do if I have a claim and cannot contact my agent to report it?
If you cannot contact your agent, claims can be directly reported to our office by calling, 402-274-3106, or by e-mail at kim@germanmutual.net. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST.

I need to send in some paperwork regarding my claim, where do I send it?

In the event of Water Damage.
- Shut off the water source, if possible
- Remove the excess water by mopping and blotting
- Remove and/or prop up wet upholstery cushions for even drying
- Place aluminum foil or woodblocks under furniture legs
- Remove Oriental or other colored rugs from wet carpeting
- Don't use a regular vacuum to remove water
- Don't turn on ceiling fixtures if ceiling is wet, and keep out of areas where ceilings are sagging from retaining water.
- Don't leave books, magazines or other colored items on wet carpeting.
- Don't leave wet fabrics in place
What to do if you have a Claim
If you have a property loss:
- Protect the damaged property from additional damage.
- Report the claim to your Agent as soon as possible.
- Prepare an inventory list and a description of the damaged property.
- All fire claims must be reported to your local fire department. All theft and vandalism claims must be reported to your local police or sheriff's departments.
If you have a livestock loss:
- Report the claim to your Agent as soon as possible.
- Report the loss to your veterinarian so the cause of loss can be verified. The vet must perform a necropsy report within 48 hours of every livestock loss.
